Board of Trustees Announces Budget Cuts
The Board of Trustees of the Paulding County
Carnegie Library have announced budget cuts. These cuts are in response to
anticipated low, zero or negative growth of library funding due to a
slowing Ohio economy. Ohio's public libraries receive 2.2% of the general
tax revenue. Among the cuts include an immediate freeze on hiring open
library page positions, replacing one full-time with two part-time
positions, canceling staff attendance at non-Ohio continuing education
events and closing all library locations at noon on Saturdays beginning
March 1st. For more information contact Susan Pieper at 419-399-2032 or
to e-mail.
All Library Locations to Close at Noon on
Saturdays
Beginning March 1, 2008, the main library in
Paulding and branch libraries in Antwerp, Oakwood and Payne will be
closing at noon on Saturdays. Fore more information contact the library at
419-399-2032.
