Beginning Monday, March 15, 2010, when customers apply for a new
library card, they will be issued a brand new version of the Paulding
County Carnegie library card. The front of the new card is bright
yellow and the back is white. The cards include a wallet and key-chain
version. A photo of the main Carnegie Library in Paulding and the
branch libraries in the villages of Antwerp, Oakwood and Payne are
printed on the front, along with phone numbers and website address.
-
Any Paulding County or Ohio resident may be issued a library card at
no charge. Parents or legal guardians of minor children must sign the
application for their minor children.
-
Proof of address will be required
to obtain a card (drivers license, lease, utility bill, etc.)
-
If a patron currently has a "pink" card, and wants the new "yellow"
card, they will be required to pay the standard $1.00 replacement card
fee.
-
The "pink" library cards will still work at all library locations.
-
Residents of states other than Ohio will be charged a yearly
twenty-five dollar ($25.00) non-resident fee, even if they work in
Ohio.
-
Anyone may use library resources "in-house" (except
computers) without acquiring a library card.
-
Library computers are only to be used by patrons with a
valid Paulding County Carnegie Library card.
-
Visitors may use the library's
high speed internet access after reading the library's Acceptable Use
Policy and being issued a temporary card.
-
Patrons must present a valid Paulding County Carnegie Library card in
order to use library computers or borrow library materials.
