Welcome to the
Cooper Community Library, formerly known as the Oakwood Branch Library
The Cooper
Community Library is the third branch library of the Paulding County Carnegie
Library system. It was established in 2000 when the former
"Oakwood Public Library" merged with the county library
system. The library was
opened as a branch via a cooperative effort between the Oakwood Library
Association,
the Village of Oakwood and the Paulding County Carnegie Library. In
September 2007, the branch was moved a block south and reopened as the
"Cooper Community Library" in a storefront building donated by the
Cooper family.
Location
The library is located at 206 North
First Street, Oakwood, Ohio.

The Oakwood Library Association
The Cooper Community Library has an active support group. The
Oakwood Library Association meets regularly at the library. This dynamic

of Oakwood. Be a part of Oakwood's history and get involved! For

Oakwood Library Association Purchases
Color Copy Machine!
The Village of Oakwood now has access to a color copy machine thanks to
the Oakwood Library Association! This machine is available for use
during regular library hours.
Library
Services
The Cooper Community Library is a full-service branch providing access to
popular reading materials, a comprehensive children's department and internet connections for the public.
In 2001 the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation awarded four new
computers for this rural community library. The branch
utilizes high-speed ISDN connections for access to the library's automated
catalog and resources available via the Ohio Public Library Information
Network (OPLIN).
