Best Sellers
The library and the branch libraries provides access, either through the library collection or inter-library loan, the New York Times best sellers list of books. Titles be borrowed for two weeks with NO RENEWALS if there is a waiting reserve list. 

Books on Tape and Books on CD
The Paulding County Carnegie and it branch libraries have a fine collection of books on tape and CD. These can be checked out for two weeks with renewals. New titles are constantly being added.

Children's Services 

The main library in Paulding has a comprehensive children's department addressing the reading and literary needs of youth from birth through teen.  Story times, teen programs, summer reading programs, movies and other events are held weekly.  Diaper Chapters is program sponsored by the library that places reading material in the hands of every new parent, thereby supporting the importance of reading aloud to infants and emerging literacy.

Computer Classes 
The library was awarded a training lab in 2001 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  Regular computer classes are offered free of charge to the public.

Die-Cut Center 
The Paulding County Carnegie Library has three (3) die cutting machines available for public use at the main library and one (1) at each of our branches. Many dies are available, including numbers, letters, and shapes.  Dies not available in our system may be available through Inter-library loan for use in the library. Please report to the desk before using these machines.  Please bring your own materials.  Contact any library location for more information on this free service.

Fax Machine 
Patrons may send and receive faxes at a cost of one dollar ($1.00) per page. The main library fax number is 419-399-2114. 


Genealogy Research
T
he Paulding
County Carnegie Library has one of the most comprehensive Genealogy Departments in northwest Ohio. Materials are not only of Paulding County but the surrounding counties as well. There are local, county, and state histories in the collection. A very large obituary file on Paulding County residents can be found along with newspapers on microfilm, early births and marriages, mortality records, and cemetery inscriptions. All census data for Paulding and the surrounding counties are available on microfilm , plus much more. A very active Genealogy Society meets in the Library Meeting Room on the second Wednesday of each month. Click here for more information.

High School Yearbooks
A collection of county high school yearbooks dating from the early 1900's is available for in-library use only.

Inter-Library Loan (ILL)

This service allows patrons to request items the library doesn't own from another library. There is no charge for this service.  Loan periods may vary and are determined by the lending library.

Laminating Service
The library provides both cold and hot laminating for $1.00 per foot.  Contact the library for more information.

Local History 

The library maintains a comprehensive local history collection on Paulding County.

Meeting Room
A meeting room is available at the main library for non-profit organizations during library operation hours. Contact the library for more information and to make reservations. 

Music CDs
For your listening pleasure a large variety of music is available on compact disc. These can be checked out for two weeks at a time. 

Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN)

OPLIN is the library's link to the Internet. This online resource is available to all citizens of Ohio and provides free, high-speed access to online databases and reference resources.  All persons wanting to access the Internet via the library computers must read and accept the parameters set forth in the library's

The library provides service to area nursing homes.

Photocopiers 
The main library and the branches have available for public use photocopiers which accommodate paper up to 11 x 14 inches. The main library in Paulding also has a color-copier. Costs for color copies begin at 1.00 per page.  Black and white copies are .15 per page.  There is a price adjustment for larger sized paper.


Polaroid Cameras

Polaroid Cameras may be checked out for two weeks. There is no charge for this service, but you must provide your own film.

Popular Fiction & Non-Fiction 

The library collection includes popular fiction and non-fiction in a variety of genres including inspirational, romance, mystery, science fiction and westerns.  Large print titles are also available.


Public Computers

The main Library and the branch libraries have computers for public use and have high-speed connections to the Internet. There is nominal charge for printing. A disk can be brought from home or school to be used on the computers. The library has disks for public use for $.50 each.  Patrons must be registered and have their current library card with them if they want to use any of the computers.

Tax Forms
Federal and State Income Tax forms are available at the main library and the branch libraries. The forms are also available online.

Used Book Sale
Periodically, the Library will offer used books for sale by donation only. 

Video and DVD Collection
An extensive fiction and non-fiction video and DVD collection is available from the main library and branches. The library also maintains a growing collection of DVDs.  In anticipation of growing demand for this new format, the library will be slowing phasing out the acquisition of movies in VHS format.  Videos and DVDs can be taken out FREE OF CHARGE for three days. There is a fine of one dollar ($1.00) per day per item if they are returned late. 

Voter Registration
Citizens may register to vote at any of the Paulding County Carnegie Library locations.
